Labor & Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

About the Opportunity

A well-established plaintiff-side labor and employment law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for workers' rights and wants to build a long-term career handling meaningful employment litigation matters.

The firm represents employees in a wide range of labor and employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, FMLA claims, and other workplace-related matters.

What You'll Do

  • Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
  • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial preparation and trial support

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
  • Minimum of one (1) year of litigation experience required
  • Labor and employment experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This is a billable-hour environment; however, billable requirements are not rigidly mandated. Attorneys are encouraged to target approximately 45 billable hours per week. High performers who consistently exceed established productivity thresholds are eligible for additional bonus compensation.
